NOT an NEW HP C4096AJun 27, 2008
By Mr. Bubba The description and most of the reviews are misleading. This is a compatible/rebuilt cartridge and is NOT a new HP C4096A. The photo shows an HP product sticker on the cartridge. The delivered product has no sticker. There is no pull strip for activation as with an OEM HP toner cartridge. It was packaged in non-descript tan cardboard box and was sealed within a black plastic bag. A piece of paper advertising a Brother printer had been placed between the drum cover and the photoconductive drum. I printed one test page with this cartridge and it looked acceptable. The cartridge mechanism made no funny noises. For the cost, I really would have been surprised to receive an original, new HP cartridge. If this one lasts for several thousand pages, I will deem it a good value. I have an original HP C4096A cartridge in use now that after 1,000 pages has started to print poorly - ghosting, etc. I performed all the recommended cleaning procedures on the HP OEM cartridge with no success. So the bottom line is that the HP OEM cartridge costs 4 times as much and won't go the distance. If this one goes the distance I will give it five stars.

it did its jobMar 24, 2007
By Anthony Rangel my printer was out of ink and the manufactured cartridge took a long time to get to me.. I bought this as a substitute for the price, I got what I paid for.. it printed with a shadow.. not knowing if it was properly tested before sold as remanufactured.

A great productFeb 05, 2000
By Jerry d'Aquin The print quality delivered by this cartridge is phenomenal. After almost a year of owning an HP 2100, and using several cartridges, I remain astounded at the crisp print quality and the amount of printing obtained from such a relatively small cartridge. Granted, I went from an HP3 which at times had toner bleed on folded letterhead or adresses that partly rubbed off the envelopes. None of that here. It is the ultimate professional look for letters, letterheads and drawings. And Amazon's price is right!

By G. Palmer This is not the right printer cartridge for the HP 2300d. The Amazon website is incorrect.

Very HappyMay 10, 2010

I bought partly based on the low price but found that the duplexer on my printer consistently jammed with the new cartridge. I contacted the seller and they sent a shipping label and told me to return the cartridge (it was prepaid shipping - there was no out of pocket expense to me). I sent them an email the day it shipped letting them know that it was on the way back and received an email from them stating that the replacement was on the way. It arrived a couple days later and works flawlessly. I could not be happier. I definitely recommend this seller and will probably buy from them again if the opportunity presents itself.
