 Goes with me to the post office...Feb 14, 2013

This tear-by-hand roll means I don't have to carry scissors with me to the post office when I want to send products and enclose a bill for shipping (the amount of which I don't know until the postal worker weighs it). Very convenient - I used to find it in the stores but haven't seen it anywhere for several years.

I love it and want NONE other! Why put yourself through the irritation of other tapes that in a bulkly contraption, won't tear easily and because of that it has folded into itself and has cut your own finger with its nasty razor edge and has totally wasted your time in getting the job done. With the Tear by Hand you can quickly get the job done without hassle and move on to the next thing in life!

This tape is perfect for sending out packages. It was easy to rip off and sticks well.
So far I've used it to send a package back to Amazon.

It really depends. If I use it correctly then it works really great, especially since I am awful at ripping packing tape. You do have to make sure you rip it on the correct side...or it stretches and gets messed up. I put arrows on the inside of the roll so that I remember which side is the right one. But even if you do rip it on the correct side, sometimes it still stretches. Even if I successfully rip the tape, the top end where I ripped the corner is white and curled (aka it stretched before I got it to rip). Sometimes it feels like I have to put a lot of force into ripping the tape, which doesn't seem so normal. If you typically don't have a problem ripping packing tape but have people in the house who do, you probably should not solely depend on this. But I still have been using it, and most of the time I'm glad I don't have to stop what I'm doing to pick up the scissors.
If you really have problems with ripping tape, it seems like it's not much more money than regular scotch-brand packing tape. But you could just as easily cut it with scissors like you did before.

I wish I had ordered more, because I went through this faster than I thought. Good quality tape and it came very quickly.
