ComfortableNov 29, 2011
By nat I am 5'1" and have a hard time sitting in office chairs because they are always too big for me. This one adjusts in multiple ways so it is comfortable for me. It is high quality and has a simple but nice design as well.
Good Chair at a Fair PriceJan 02, 2012
By OkeyDokey I wanted a simple and reasonably priced name brand task chair for daily home office use. Installation was straight forward, with just a little bit extra effort required to attach the back to the main part of the chair (large screws take a bit of coaxing to align with holes). The overall quality of the chair is good. It glides and spins smoothly, without any significant noise. The only recommendation I would have for the manufacturer is that they consider using foam for the seat that can handle more weight before bottoming out. After a while, it feels a bit like I'm sitting on a flat board instead of a cushy chair. The Ignition fairs better in that capacity and the Mirus is really a great chair (but costs significantly more than the Volt). I cannot attest to it's long term durability, but the fabric is similar to a Mirus model I have and that has done well for a couple of years of daily office use.
high quality bare bones.Oct 10, 2011

"basecase"
This is a high quality/durable bare bones (aside from tilt) task chair. It does not look fancy nor have lots of features or adjustable parts but it's much better quality and feels more ergonomic then comparably priced stuff you typically see in the retail brick'n'mortar office supply stores. It's very comfortable and can be raised more than high enough for me. I only wish the seat pan was about an inch longer/deeper (I'm about 6'1") but it is adequate for my size. The lower back (lumbar) support also feels a little high to me, but the support is better than most.
Optional arm rests (sold separately) can also be added.
Made in China, after assembly backrest was crooked.Oct 04, 2011
By my_pen_name Some of the HON product pages indicated this could be USA made, it was Made in China. The backrest had to be screwed to the bolster. There was no way to align it so the chair was straight. Had to search the internet for instructions to remove the gas cylinder from the base so I could put it back in the box and return the defective chair.
