Blew me away.....almost literallyDec 11, 2009
By Ziminy13 I'm a picky shopper. I searched for months for the perfect fan.
It really blows hard, REALLY HARD. Big huge bunch of air coming out of this little sucker. I cannot use the high setting because my arm turns blue from the cold. High speed is great for moving air in the room. Low speed if it's blowing on you. (what I use it for) I forgot to write a review after I got it, but now it's a month later and I am dying to have another for my bedroom, so I thought I would let everyone know how much I love it. My sister loved it too, so she had to order one for herself.
Visual: 1) Beautiful charcoal gray, looks black in a dark room. 2) Very nice looking. 3) I wouldn't hesitate to put it on my desk if I were a CEO. 4) It looks just like the photo, unlike a lot of other items.
Regarding the crappy reviews: 1) There is no rattle, they must have gotten a defective one, or like to complain. 2) The motor is NOT NOISY AT ALL. If you hold the blades, you hear nothing. 3) The noise is from the wind blowing. Seriously, it's like sticking your head out the window of a moving car. Wind makes noise. I think these people just like to complain.
I love mine and I'm off to order another one now.

Does the Job!Jul 20, 2007
By Woman To Woman It has really managed to keep my area in the office cool and with the adjustments that it will let you make, I can angle it just where I want. The noise is mild, but that works out fine as it creates some white noise which I love. Down side for a desk fan is that it is a little big, but the cord is long enough to move it away from my face.

Great Little FanJun 05, 2006

I use this fan in my cubicle at work.
It matches the Black phone and black lamp and looks professional.
More importantly, it is reliable and consistent and keeps me cool!
The base is large enough that any reasonable jostle or push can be absorbed.
Great little fan! I recommend it!

White NoiseMay 08, 2011

I bought this fan to use as white noise while sleeping. On the low speed, it produces a very pleasant white noise that is great for sleeping and blocking out intermittent sounds from outside or around the house. On the high speed, however, it creates an annoying pulsing sound, so I just keep it on low. Also gives a nice, cool breeze if it's too stuffy in the room. Overall, a great little fan.

Great Desk FanMay 06, 2011

I have read several of the reviews on this product, and I am not sure why so many people have said that this fan is loud or that it doesn't push enough air. I bought this fan for use at work where I need it to be quiet and to also move a lot of air. I have been very pleased with the noise level and the two speed settings for this product. If you have a larger fan and you are stepping down remember that this is a small fan. It will not push the same amount of air as a bigger fan with larger blades. That being said, this fan does a killer job for its size. I have not needed to use the highest speed setting at all, and trust me - my office is HOT.
As for the noise, I am not sure what people are comparing it to. I think for a fan its size it is pretty quiet. I am on the phone all day long, and I have never had to turn it off due to its volume and it sits right next to me.
The bottom line is that you are getting a decent-sized desk fan that has two speeds and oscillates for a very good price. It may not be everyone's cup of tea, but for the price I think what you get is a great deal.
