This was the first time I've replaced the yellow print head (replaced the magenta once before). I've had my Officejet d125xi for about 4-1/2 yrs with relatively light usage. You can tell the printhead is going out when the color seems to be off and calibration doesn't help, and eventually the printer will let you know it needs to be replaced. Once replaced, print color and quality returns back to normal, however, depending on your printer, you may need to recalibrate. Overall the printhead works as advertised.

HP 14 Yellow Ink Cartridge in Retail Packaging (C4923A)
Hope this review is in the right place. I pruchased a HP 15 Yellow printhead & this is where my purchase brought me for my review.
As with all printheads my HP needed replacements & they all seemed to go at once. Loved the fact that the price was doable as I had all four of these needing replacement at once.
I always do a price comparison online before I buy ANYTHING and the Amazon price was the best out there.
The shipment arrived very quickly which was very important to us as we weren't able to print without it.
I will buy these again from Amazon - although hopefully, not for some time yet. I bought all four printheads in March 2009 and they are still going strong!

This worked well in my HP OfficeJet 7140 BUT ..... Ink is so yesterday (messy, dries up, expensive). I upgraded to a color laser (HP CP1520) over a 15 months ago. Still using the original toner. Especially if you have school age children, get current and go color laser.

Not me, until my Officejet 7130xi told me that it needed new printheads nearly a year ago. I bought all of them here at amazon, installed them and things have been fine ever since. At least as far as the printheads go.

The printhead was to be new, but my printer doesn't think so. The box arrived somewhat smashed which may have cracked the plastic and dried out the printhead. I take some responsibility for not notifying the shipper sooner to give them the opportunity to rectify the problem.
