I had to order this HP printhead to replace a defective new printhead sent by Amazon. While this initial replacement came reasonably quickly, I had to mail the defective printhead back, although Amazon did reimburse me for the postage. However, the printhead that came as a replacement is also defective. It worked briefly, but now won't print any black, which means my printer is essentially useless until I get another replacement that actually works. It hasn't been so easy getting Amazon to send another replacement. I tried, they responded saying they would send it, but nothing has come and I haven't heard any more from Amazon about getting the second defective printhead replaced. My further inquiries have (so far) gone unanswered, and I can't use my printer. Think of how your business might be affected if your printer was rendered unusable for weeks. This is hell. If I can't get a working replacement head soon, I'll be forced to pay more and buy another one from my local Costco. Then if the Amazon replacemnt finally comes, I'll have two and won't be able to test the replacement until the Costco one gives out, when the Amazon replacement will probably be too old to return.

This item is very expensive if you purchase it direct from HP and most other office business stores. Amazon has the best price. The cartridge is an HP original product and not an ink refill product. In the future I will go once again with Amazon for this item. It works great and was delivered in a timely manner.

When clearing a paper jam somehow the print head was damaged. It sure didn't look damaged. I removed it, cleaned the contacts and shook it like others have reported. It still didn't work. Oddly you cannot even fax anything if the print head does not work.
The new print head corrected the problem after it aligned itself. This was an expensive lesson.
As always Amazon shipping was quick and the package arrived a day early

There is absolutely NO reason for a printer to have an additional print cartridge like this, a 'print head' ink cartridge. The H.P. printer already has ink cartridges, which by them selves, are already too expensive. Now when you add this additional ink cartridge, which is WAY over priced, then that is double gouging. This is the second printhead I have had to purchase in the last 6 months. Shame on you H.P.! The 7600 AIO printer works great, just 'eats' these expensive printhead cartridges for dinner.
