Very Sticky Barcode LabelsMar 10, 2012
By student9151 The other reviewers are right that the labels are too sticky. Obviously there is always some residue, but this is so well adhered, that pulling from the edges will still leave most of the label on. You'd almost have to soak them in the sink, which isn't really an option here.
If you purchase, I would recommend leaving the labels on.
Haven't used yet so can't comment on durability.

Good binder for the priceMar 06, 2012
By Tracy This binder is great for the price. Sure a more expensive binder will probably hold up better over time but for a semester course this will be great. If it is going to get heavy use I would order something a bit sturdier. The only annoying thing is there was a upc-like sticker placed on the spine of the binder which was very difficult to remove.

Poor QualityFeb 18, 2012
By Josephine Got the binder a day ago and realized that the seams along the top are ripping and the cardboard is exposed. Really poor quality and it's one of my most disappointing amazon purchase so far.

Effective binderFeb 06, 2012
By Avidwriter The Avery Economy View binder is the quintessential academic tool for college students like us, feeling the weight of classes and on an already strained budget. It's not an iPad that can save web pages or access online information at your touch; however, for an inexpensive tool that is sometimes considered an outdated type of academic tool in this electronic age, it has advantages of its own. It has all the features that are needed for an effective binder; however, the plainness of this product is its key to being a dependable storage and retrieval device that performs its duty in an excellent manner.
I ran into the same problem that other people did when it was shipped to me with an obnoxious sticker on the spine. It took me a couple or tries--not to mention some help from a friend with longer nails--to finally get the darn thing off. Again I was left with an irritating residue like most customers; nevertheless, a customer review helped me solve this problem. Using a simple adhesive removing agent quickly solved my sticky binder problem! Perhaps using an ordinary adhesive remover before trying to tear off the sticker would have helped make the process quick and easy.
It has a good length to the effective function lifetime for only being an ordinary, white, 2" O-ring binder. I had utilized its services through my last year in high school and still do through my first year at a state college via packing it full of notes and pertinent class papers. There O-ring comes in handy when you needed to flip from one section to another to check notes or get some lose leaf paper to take copious notes. It was also the right size to add in some dividers for organizing my papers by class, even having some classes split into multiple sections. It held together much better than the "extra durable" D-ring binders I got in a double package deal from Costco for my junior year. In retrospect they both wore out faster than the Avery Economy View binder I use now--for twice the price too!
Considering the other binders I have used to hold my academic papers, the Avery Economy View binder has executed its job the best. I gave it 5 stars because the product performs above the level binders have succumbed to.
