This is long because I am not pleased with this product and stuck in the middle of my install because this mount has a major design flaw that no one mentions in the reviews.
Installation information so that you can apply this to your situation:
I am mounting an Epson 8350 to my living room ceiling. Replacing an old Sharp unit that has a older mount there, a mount I paid $30 bucks for and would have worked fine for weight but the 'arms' are too short to reach across the larger 8350 case.
Design problem:
This was made by Peerless Industries in Illinois. These guys fell massively short of the most key mating point where your your $1500+ projector connects to the mount. PLASTIC...Cheap, plastic!
When I first opened the box I was impressed. It had a machined aluminum collar, lots of different screws to fit your specific unit and the main pieces are powder coated gray. It even has a complex machined ball mount with a set screw to allow fine adjustments for tilt and angles. Then I noticed the connection point between this heavy duty metal mount system and your expensive projector. I first thought 'what the heck, after all this fancy machined billet aluminum and ball adjuster etc, you guys gave up and put flimsy plastic ears to connect and hold the entire unit".
After looking at it further I sort of conceded to others who were all looking it over with me that plastic is the new metal and the engineers (you hope they have engineers) might have the load and weights worked out. NOT.
I installed everything. I spun the projector into the key way onto the mount on the ceiling (yes this is the place where everything is very thin plastic holding your unit). It held there. But, I immediately noticed the ears of the plastic were bending, very stressed. So I thought it needed the two screws which are mostly there to prevent it from spinning off. Done. The plastic still was not solid or flat, the load of the projector was bending the plastic just by free hanging (the 8350 is about 8lbs; the mount is rated at 50!). Further, the projector was not solid up there. It was jiggly and wiggly to the lightest touch. And the reason was the plastic. As I tapped the unit I could see the plastic bending and flexing.
I have my HT room very close to our entry door. One of the problems I had with the other mount was having someone slam the entry door and the projector would pick up the shock and shake slightly. I was hoping this super metal mount would solve that.
Key part missing to do the job:
The other issue that really might make you angry is the nice billet collar used to attach the mount to the ceiling. This piece is supposed to allow your to pass your cables into the ceiling. It cannot be used as the mount kit is shipped. It requires an extension tube (sold separately of course). So they put a piece in the mount kit that you cannot use, a piece that most everyone likely needs to route their cable into the ceiling without having to install another ceiling plate & hole. Thanks Peerless. Of course you can likely go to the plumbing store and get a 1" 1/2 pipe nipple to make something work but dang it you guys, you should have included a short nipple to connect it.
Summary:
1. This mount is made very well up to the most critical mating point possible which is made of thin, weak plastic. FAIL.
2. The kit includes a piece you need to use to route your cables into the ceiling but they do not include all the pieces to actually use it. FAIL
Sadly I cannot return this now because I am in a pinch to finish the job and now have to cannibalize this mount with other pieces of my other mount to get this to work nicely.
PS - The Epson 8350 rocks! If you are considering it, buy it and don't worry about the BS about LCD chips vs. DLP. It it is bright and lifelike on a 120" screen with a 12' throw. Blacks are good too. I have a bright room and it still pops midday.
DO NOT BUY THIS MOUNT. YOU'VE BEEN WARNED. :-)

I initially got a cheap no-brand mounting kit for my new Epson 8350, but its mounting arms didn't quite reach the holes at the bottom of the monitor. I bought this Epson branded mount instead, and I was really pleasantly surprised. The mount is really well designed and setting it up was intuitive and easy. The parts are clearly very precisely manufactured, and fit together like a charm. The materials are solid, sturdy, and light, and once you tighten the screws, the mount feels rock solid.
The only negative I have found is that making fine adjustments to the position of the projector require you to turn a screw that is sandwiched between the ceiling and the projector and is kind of hard to get to. The upside is that the adjustment mechanism is really sturdy and allows full rotation of the projector in every direction.
My ceiling is so high that the image ends up being slightly skewed despite cranking the lens tilting controls on my projector all the way down. I am in the process of getting the extension tube to lower the projector somewhat. From what I can see on the instruction manual, inserting that extension tube after the initial installation should be fairly simple.

This worked absolutely perfectly with my Epson 8350 projector. Easy to assemble and mount to ceiling. Very sturdy, highly recomend.
