Good price and fast delivery.It would have been appropriate and helpful to state that these are SMALL bookends: 5 inches tall,just over 4&one-half inches wide,and with "sliders" out 3 inches & 2 inches on the bottom. Nice quality,shiny black.

The item information wasn't clear that these are pairs of bookends--this very low price is for TWO bookends, not the singles that I thought I was buying. It was a pleasant surprise when I received double the number I thought I had ordered!

I bought some of these to hold books and dvds, and have concluded that these are basically two small and too light to do the job. I suppose if you were trying to hold up very small paperbacks it might be fine, but anything larger and I recommend you buy something larger.

My wife is an avid book collector. We purchased 70 pairs of these and used every one. These same bookends were going for $6-9 at big box stores. At our quantity that is just prohibitive. So these are a life saver.

These bookends are unable to hold anything together due to their very light weight. I originally used these to hold my Blu-Ray cases together, but that concept quickly vanished when one of the bookends would give-in to the weight and the cases would slip over--this became a common occurrence. Giving the product the benefit of the doubt, I tried using them to hold a few small paperback books. Same result. One of the ends would be pushed out after only a few minutes. These aren't too bad looking, and they're definitely easy on your wallet, but they can't do their job, and that's what matters most.
