5I believe you have my stapler?Feb 26, 2006
By Stephanie Martin
I was given this stapler as a birthday present last year. I'm a big fan of Office Space, and so it was more of a sentimental gift than a utilitarian one. I was working in a cube farm at the time, and my red stapler provoke many Office Space quotes.

I know this isn't the official red stapler of the movie, as that one was actually spray painted by the props department. However, much like Milton's stapler, it's a good product. It doesn't bind up, crunch paper, or staple funny. And the smooth top and sides make it a comfortable stapler to handle. I have bad hands, and most places I work either have the flimsy plastic staplers that feel like they're going to crush when you staple, or they have the large, clunky staplers with square corners that cut into your hand if you have to squeeze staple. So, while it's funny to think of a stapler as ergonomic, it really it. I also really like that it has ample weight for it's size, and a nice rubberized bottom to keep it from slipping.

Office space jokes aside, this is a stapler worth getting. And hey, if there are any Office Space fans around, they'll appreciate this bright red reminder.

5Ergonomically Designed And Easy To UseJul 16, 2005
By Sir George Martini "Verbalosity"
Everyone at my office has a 747 Series Red Stapler in honor of Milton from "Office Space", but the main reason to get one is that Swingline has more features and a better design than other staplers in its class.

5Good staplerJan 21, 2006

When my company switched from the Swingline stapler to the Boston stapler, I kept mine because it didn't bind up as much and I kept the staples for the Swingline stapler. If they take my stapler, I'll set the building on fire

5Heavy duty paper collection makerOct 05, 2007
By Freeman "The last bastion of freedom is inside your head."
I bought this stapler for nostalgic and practical reasons. A) The movie Office Space (I don't care if it isn't EXACTLY the same, it still reminds me of Milton) B) My unit took these staplers to Baghdad, Iraq. In between being mortared we really enjoyed using our red Swinglines to assemble documents as part of the bureaucracy of war. C) This stapler can double as a weapon in a pinch. It's heavy and would make a good head battering tool if you got into a fight with a co-worker. D) It staples well. The tactile sensation of binding your stack of paperwork with a small folded piece of shiny metal will please you. You just cannot say that about a flimsy plastic stapler. It's not the same feeling.
